Gionee M2017 launched in China

Gionee M2017 has been officialy launched in China. It is one of the most powerful phones launched by the company with a battery life which can last for many days and a good amount of RAM. This phone has been targeted for business class. It can play 26 hours of non-stop video and has 32 hours of talk time. M2017 is priced at Yuan 6999 (approx. Rs. 68,275) for 128GB version and the 256GB version is priced at Yuan 16,999 (approx. Rs. 1,65,875). The phone is available in two colors i.e. Black and Gold.

M2017 has sapphire glass protection for extra scratch resistance and two 3,500 mAh battery units which makes the battery capacity upto 7,000 mAh. It has 6GB of RAM and a finger print scanner below the display. The phone has a curved quad HD AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, Adreno 510 graphics, dual SIM, Snapdragon 653 processor and Amigo 3.5 UI skin. There is no microSD card slot and no headphone jack. M2017 has a metal build with a leathery back.

Connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Wi-Fi direct, GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 Type-C port, FM radio, OTG, 3G, 4G+ and 4G VoLTE. Sensors of the phone are Proximity Sensor, Gyro, Compass, Accelerometer and Ambient Light Sensor. Camera of the phone has 2X optical zoom, 8X optical zoom, PDAF, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and flash. This device also has Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 which allows fast charging.

It is yet to be known whether M2017 will make its way outside China to other territories as it is very expensive and Gionee has mostly launched mid-budget phones in India so this might not come in India.

This phone is packed with excellent features and is sure to do very good business in the market.
