Selfie fanatics in India, get set to change your description of a “premium selfie.” Chinese tech Gionee has shared a teaser image on its official Twitter account viewing its upcoming S6s smartphone, which it assures to redefine what a “premium selfie” means. The teaser emanates just ahead of the official launch of the smartphone at an event to be held on August 22 in New Delhi, India for which the invites have already been propelled out.
Gionee’s smartphones have been slowly attaining popularity in our country, and the company has been swilling it out with its Chinese competitor OPPO in the selfie ground. Gionee had earlier launched the S6 and S6 Pro under the S series, and following the line up now is the S6s.
It will have a front facing LED flash, as recommended by the invite for the launch event. Besides this, the S6s is likely to share the same design and specifications as that of S6 Pro, which comes with a mid-range MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of expandable memory. The S6 Pro comes with a 13 MP back camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 3,130 mAh battery keeps the device on the trot.
