Everyone has been waiting for the final race-spec version of the Acura NSX GT3 car that pragmatic earlier this year, and from the looks of the new livery images, Honda’s luxury brand is going to have one of the best-looking automobiles at the original target grid.Acura NSX GT3 car
When the two NSX GT3s take their starting positions on the grid at the Rolex 24 at Daytona next month, each will have an inverted hand mirror image livery of the other NSX. Car amount 86, numbered in guide to Acura’s founding in year 1986, arrives with a black nose that fades into a grayish crosshatch design toward the rear. Car number 93 commemorates the founding season of the Honda Overall performance Development division, and dons the inverse of amount 86. Both cars will fly the banners of Acura Motorsports and Michael Shank Racing, the costume that will campaign them for the 2017 Tournament season.
Like almost all of the cars on the Daytona grid, the race-spec NSX differs from the creation car. Honda rips away the trick all-wheel-drive mixed drive train in the street super car and supplants it with a rear-wheel-drive layout using the same 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. To comply with class rules, the engine is restricted to around 500 hp.
Fans will catch their first glance of the new color scheme at the future “Roar before the Rolex 24” at Daytona, when IMSA allows teams to participate in an open up testing period before the competition. The cars can also be front and center for MSR’s efforts in the 2017. During car tournament championship and, per a team media release, “will feature striking ‘mirror image’ dark, grey and white design on the team’s couple of Acura NSX GT3 items.
