Finally the wait is over for Lenovo P2 users who were eagerly awaiting for Android Nougat version update. Yesterday a message popped up on my Lenovo P2 handset , asking for the current installed version to be upgraded. Requested data download size for android 7.0 update was nearly 1.9 GB , which did take a while to download for me.
3.18.31-perf-g247719e is the kernel version after the update with build number @njb15 #1 compiled on 20th March as shown on the system detail settings. Nougat update brings plethora of features on Lenovo P2 including , faster switching between recent apps , multi window for chrome browser, drag-drop images in forms, upgraded cool installer animation, setting priority for notifications, UI/UX addons/upgrades etc
This comes as no surprise as Motorola G5 Plus was speculated to be chosen as a limelight product with Nougat over undermined Lenovo P2 model. Delay was imminent , but finally the wait is over.
