Google chrome is one of the most widely used web browsers. It was first released in 2008 and since then has acquired 50% market share across all platforms. Its features like- speed, user-friendly interface, security options and useful add-on and plug-ins make it so popular.
But one of the features which really make this software global is its focus on inclusion It does this by allowing you to change the default language into your native language (it has 47 different languages in its list). This comprises of regional languages like Marathi, Bengali, Sindhi etc.
This is very useful for people who are more comfortable with their native language. Just follow these simple steps to change your default language:
Step 1:
Open the chrome drop down menu by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser bar and Select ‘Settings’ from the given options.
Step 2:
Scroll down at the bottom of the page and click ‘Show advanced settings’ to further expand a list of more setting options.
Step 3:
Scroll further down and click on the rectangular grey bar ‘Languages and input settings’ under the heading ‘Language’. This will open a new window.
Step 4:
Click ‘Add’ to go to the list of languages. In this window the highlighted language is the current default language.
Step 5:
Click the languages drop down and select your default language then click ‘OK’ to add the your selected language to the language window.
Step 6:
Select the added language you want to use and click on ‘Display Google chrome in this language’
Step 7:
Click on ‘Done’ button, close all your Chrome tabs and open it in a new one to see the changes.
